A nonogram is a picture puzzle: numbers along the edges tell you which squares to fill, and when you're done a picture appears. Play today's free nonogram in your browser, or print sheets in 10 x 10, 15 x 15 or 20 x 20. Every puzzle has one answer you can reach without guessing.

How to solve a nonogram
Each number is a run of filled squares, in order. A row marked 3 1 has a run of three, then at least one empty square, then a single one.
Start with the big numbers. In a 10-square row marked 8, the run of eight must cover the middle six squares wherever it sits, so fill those six. Then switch to the columns and see what your new squares tell you. Mark the squares you know are empty, too. They count as much as the filled ones.
Work back and forth between rows and columns. Every puzzle here can be solved one line at a time, so if you're stuck, there's a line you haven't squeezed yet.
Today's nonogram
A new puzzle every day, the same for everyone on the same date. It changes at midnight where you are. The size follows the week: 10 x 10 on Monday and Tuesday, 15 x 15 Wednesday to Friday, and 20 x 20 at the weekend.
- Tap a square to fill it. Switch to Mark empty to put an X in a square instead. Right-click also marks empty, and you can drag to do several squares at once.
- On a keyboard: arrows move, Space fills, X marks.
- Check outlines any wrong squares in red and tells you how many are still to fill.
- Start over clears the board.
- Play another gives you a new puzzle in the size you pick.

Nonograms: questions
Is it free?
Yes. The daily puzzle and the printables are free, with no account and no ads.
Are nonograms the same as griddlers, hanjie or paint by numbers?
Yes. Griddlers, hanjie, Japanese crosswords and picture logic puzzles are all names for the same puzzle.
Does every nonogram have one answer?
Yes. Each one has a single answer and can be solved line by line, without guessing. A separate checker confirms it before the puzzle reaches the page.
Can I sell puzzles I make here?
Yes. Use them for anything: classrooms, newsletters, party games, or your own puzzle books for sale. You don't need to ask or pay. Free sheets keep one small line at the bottom of each page with our name and web address. A Pro version, coming later, will make sheets without that line and export a whole book at once.
