Each sheet mixes up the letters of Christmas words and prints a hint with every one. The easy sheet has 15 short words for children, the main sheet 20 longer ones, and the carol sheet 14 carol titles with a line from each as the hint. The answer key lists every answer in the same order as the puzzle.

The carol sheet is the hard one. "Silent Night" comes out as eleven letters with no gap, so each hint starts with the number of words. Hand it to the adults after dinner and watch someone hum their way to the answer.

Is it free?
Yes. No account, no sign-up, no ads.
Can a word have two right answers?
Not on these sheets. Some Christmas words are traps: the letters of TINSEL also spell SILENT, LISTEN and ENLIST, and a child who writes LISTEN has a point. We checked every word here and left those out. If you add your own words, the maker warns you about any with a second answer.
Can I make my own Christmas word scramble?
Yes. Edit a sheet in the maker or type your own list, up to 50 words. For a hint, put a colon after the word: cocoa: hot chocolate.
Can I use phrases?
Yes. Spaces are dropped and the letters mix together as one word, so put the number of words in the hint, as the carol sheet does.
Can I sell puzzles I make here?
